Rationale of the BTEC Nationals in Engineering
The engineering sector continues to suffer from a skills gap and needs to keep up with rapidly developing technologies. New entrants to the sector need to build the underpinning knowledge and specific skills required to meet the needs of modern engineering industries. This qualification is designed to support learners who want an introduction to the sector through applied learning and for whom an element of engineering would be complementary. Transferable skills include communication, teamwork and research and analysis, which are valued by employers. |
